All solos mentioned are mighty fine. I might add a few:
SRV "Voodoo Chile Slight Return" - just amazing watching him on Austin City Limits, in total control of his entire rig
White Lion "Wait" an amazing solo in an otherwise average song - so fluid
I always thought Ted Nugent and Mark Knopfler were top 10 all time guitarists, but I never see them in critic's lists. They must get marked down for their singing. When Rolling Stone ranked Eddie Van Halen #70 on their list of greatest guitarists, that was the last time I ever picked up that rag.
