You know, we've completely hijacked this poor guys thread because of Clayton. All were doing is confusing the poor guy. Proeliators 1st answer to the original question was correct and should have just ended at that. But instead this thread has inflated out of control and many posts involved insults, cussing and threats. This is what we're showing a new user how we respond to simple questions. I feel bad, the guy probably wont even come back to this forum anymore.
Ho, Pro, when you guys are stuck in the mud and you see me fly by laughing my **** off at you throw me a tow strap and I'll give you a hand. Fishy may be able to pull through the shallow mess due to his slightly smaller 39's (I could have just called them 40's but why make him look stupid for buying a big tire?) but if he needs a hand I'll be there. Somebody's got to teach these boys a lesson. Then we can spray paint over the "To" and "ta" on my rig so it'll just say "Yo" . . . bust open a case of Miller High Life and sing around the campfire while I tell you the tales of the little ricer that could. Wasting your money on lifts and tires . . . ha! What are you guys thinking? What's that you say? You DIDN'T pay for your lifts? You built those yourself? Well all the more reason they won't work in the mud!
Holee Crap in a bucket, Ivan is on a roll. Your killing me here
Bremen, I confess that I know little about racing ricers, despite the fact that I used to race. Could you explain further on why the hondas (or any of the ricers) need to double clutch to keep the rpms up? I understand that they have to keep the rpms up above a certain point to keep the lift in, but I don't understand why they have to double clutch to do this? I just keep my foot on the gas to keep the rpms up...I'm just not getting it. I hate to confess this, but I have a toyota gts (its my commuter car, stop laughing! and its NOT riced out) that has the vvti-l...it only hits lift after, I think its around 6700rpm. Now, when I'm gunning I shift around 7500rpm and can keep the rpms up above the lift point without double clutching no problem. Not trying to be a wise ***, I'm just curious as to any actual need to double clutch. Honestly, double clutching became important in racing because the trannies werent syncronized. That was a looong time ago. I never heard ricers talk about the need to double clutch untill that stupid line from the fast and the furious was uttered. Just curious if you can explain this further.
edit: Tom, its cool that you are trying to be welcoming, but after reading Claytons posts he really comes off sounding like a troll. Just to try something new, I pretty let him off easy despite his comments, but at this point I think he's slit his own throat. He's either trying to provoke many of us in here (lets face, his comments pertain to me as well), or he simply doesn't know what he's talking about.

Soly Hhit, what a thread. Get tires, locker, lift, bigger tires, beefier tranny, new wife/gf, selectable lockers, in that order . . . you will never be done . . .
Ok...thread ends here...and everyone involved consider this your first and final warning. Any other arguing like is occuring in this thread anywhere else in this forum from now on will result in posting privlages being revoked. Watch it...this means all of you.
