Don't know what happened to that particular van. Must be a Chevy or Dodge cause it doesn't have the I-Beams like my E-350 V-Drive.
The one I had was one sweet driving machine. Would literally drive it self. Never had any of the typical steering problems of the Econolines of that era. All of the parts were extremely heavy duty and well made. It was an E-350 and the E-250 versions that were made may not have been of the same caliber. I would venture cost to operate is most likely what killed them off.
That's a Chevy, it's specific to the GM vans, it's obviously for added traction to drive in the snow, not off road, if you put the strain on that system like you get in the woods, I see parts spitting out everywhere.
The one I had was originally built for a factory rep. that did a lot of field work out of Saginaw. Snow and Ice were his every day companions. With a company paying for the gas it would have been a lot more fun to drive.
I own one of these, the exact same color and all. Having major issues with it starting. Cranking but not firing. Changed plugs. Any help would be appreciated. Mine is a 1984 with dual gas tanks and a third add on tank. in bed. Also has the 5th wheel hitch as I bought this along with a 45 ft fifth wheel camper. Please Help

I'm good. Haven't done anything on the Vanchero, trying to get going on it at some point. Just need something permanent and stable for a job before I can commit the resources to it.
How's yours?
