I'm bringing this thread back in hopes that any other Cabriolet owners will join in.
I just got mine, it's an 82, 460/C6 combo.
I am looking for any and all info on these. The internet has very little on them and I'd like to other owners. Right now, I need some body work, including some fiberglass work on the floor and bed. I'm thinking about building a metal bed inside of the existing bed since the sides have gotten brittle and weak.
What all have you all done with yours? Do you have links to any pics? I am loving this truck!
MoMo
HI jus noticed your truck these are really speciel trucks, dont see many of them about. ive got one its a 1989 with a 7.5 petrol in it. like yours it needs a little work but nothing major. ive put a couple of pics on the albums list. what plans have you got in mind for yours?
These Vans are GREAT! I'm still looking for one in the S.E. USA (AL, GA, FL, MS, TN) and have found two but they were both disasters, can you say "RUST." If anyone knows of one in decent shape (must be Automatic) PM a link my way.

Not much right now, I'm swapping the diesel in my 4 door bronco, so my van truck (I call it the 'Vanchero') has been put on hold. Eventually, I want to set up the interior for better extended-stay use. Get an inverter, maybe some extra batteries to run off of when it's sitting. I'd also like to set it up to where it can be ran off of power at campsites and charge the batteries. Beyond that, I need rebuild the bed as the fiberglass is worn out. And somewhere down the road, I'm contemplating a diesel swap.
Yours looks really nice, A LOT of extras on there. If you can post up some more pics, including the interior, It would be much appreciated.
Also, when you get a chance, check out fourdoorbronco.com. They have a section specific for our trucks. It's best if we can gather us owners together to share info!

Put a few pics in Image Shack and post them here for us all.
those are a rare and wicked find i tried to buy one in BC but the guy wouldnt sell as his dog had died in it or some freaky crap, so ended up with my E deck 90 E350 with 16ft deck, now to make a tilt for it, i have a friend, his bro has one with the "vee drive" called VX4 option and a cummins diesel
I prefer the Centurion version, I'm not crazy about all the fiberglass on the other, there's been one in my area at a tote the note lot, same van in and out, betting the MPG is why it returns, I'd love to get one and stuff in a 5.9 Cumins.

Had a 79 E-350 460 Auto with the full time 4x4 V-Drive from VEMCO (Vehicle Engineering and Modifications Company, out of Chicago area now out of bussiness) and limited slip diffs. It was FANTASTIC. Would pull ANYTHING and go anywhere.. But it only got 6mpg down hill with a tailwind. Used it for years to pull heavy hay wagons here on the farm.
