Is anyone using one of these on their truck? I just bought one from someone but it turns out that it is still programmed to their VIN. Is there anyway to clear/unlock it or do I have to send it to Hypertech?
Thanks,
Brian

I would think that they would have to download the program from their truck and set it back to stock before it can do anything with yours.
I"m using the hypertech programmer, And like aklim said, it's only can be used on one truck at a time. You should connect the seller and retrieve the Hypertech program that is probably still in his truck, and return the stock program. Hope this helps.
Thanks for all the info. The guy sold the truck and he thought that he had done that. I will get a hold of Hypertech and see what they say. They should be able to reset it.

The can but probably won't. How do I know that you didn't download a program into your truck and now you are trying to download another program into another truck?
They probably will reset it but it will cost nearly as much as a new one. It's worth a call tho. Then try to get your money back from your friend, and let us know what they said about reprogramming it.

They will do it, but they will charge you the full price of a new one.
You should sell that tuner to the guy that bought the truck and get yourself a fresh one.
