the number you need to be conserned with is the pressure with the COMPRESSOR on, with it off it will be alot higher and you will think its overcharged......BUt if you said it was a zero when you started your going to need the whole can and maybe more, but what you can do is feel the pipe on the low side when that gets cold, your full or almost there stop and check the pressure with the compresor on, The clicking noise is normal, exspecailly when its cool out, it does not have to work as hard and the freon contracts when its cold so the compressor cycles on and off more then say on a day thats 95 were it might be on all the time, just make sure your pressure reading is between 25 and 35psi and your ac will be all set for the warmest days.
sorry for all the trouble guys. im not versed in AC systems. I really dont know what the compressor on means. Im assuming its spinning the whole time? right now its kinda whirring then like i said 10 seconds and click
you have to watch out because once you use the cans a lot of mechanics wont touch the system because the leak seal in the mixture messes up there machines...good luck
the condensor in front of the radiator bc they are know to leak thier from salt and road grime i tryed to refill mine it lasted about a week and i put so much in (r134A + oil mix) i could see the oil driping down the passaners side of it so i knew were it was leaking also o rings connections compressor and the evaorator good luck
I think I have a leak. My aircon is gone again. How can I repair it? What tools/parts do I need to fix it? Some people mentioned O-rings. what parts of the system have them?
