Anyone ever have Bell's Palsy (temporary paralysis of the face)? I had it back in the fall of '02 for the first time, whole left side of my face was paralized, couldn't even close my eye! Now I'm noticing that I can't bring up the left corner of my mouth in a smile, and I've got a funny tingiling in my forehead. I guess I'll be seeing the doctor tomorrow, cause I think I'm getting it again!
My fiancee's sister had it for a few weeks. Due to allergies that got so bad it messed up her nerves.....pretty bad I must say.
I think it was this time last year. do you have serious allergies? If it only happens ion fall and spring tht is what it might be.
Nope, no allergies. Last time it was triggered by an inner ear infection. My fallopian canal (yes, fallopian! We've got 'em in our heads, fallopian tubes are what y'all are probably thinking about!!) was infected, and it was swollen, pinching my facial nerve and causing the paralysis. Infection was knocked out within a week, but the damage to the nerve took over 3 months to heal. Really a PITA when you've got to tape your eye shut to go to sleep, hold the side of your mouth closed to drink or eat anything, and you're talking like Quasimoto!!
My neighbor has it. It sucks! People are always thinking she's some defective unit but she's one of the nicest, smartest people I know. I hope you don't let it get you down too much. It is temporary.

That doctor Fallopian must have been one busy guy!
one of my ex g/fs sister got that. i felt really bad for her, she has a string of bad luck. not to be mean, but as sorry as i felt that she got it, i was relieved that my girlfriend didnt get it.
Wife had it when she was pregnant. Retained so much water it was putting pressure on certain nerves. Came and went the last couple months she was pregnant with son #1, never had with son #2.
One of my old girlfriends had it. It was crazy because she had it and it was gone within a couple of days and the doctor said it was due to stress. Weird.
