That's ok, notice the time on this post!! Yeah, I'm a college fraternity member, so I'm winding down after a wild night of partying and doing stupid s***. Don't worry about not going to prom. I didn't go to mine, either. And, I don't get to see my at-home friends very often. Maybe every couple of months. So don't feel too bad.
Right now it is 1:29 left coast time. I just got back from work 45 minutes ago. My weekend starts.....now. Don't sweat the prom, your real problems will be a little later on. Enjoy what you have today.
Agree with Mike somehwt...
right now this SEEMS like the biggest drag in the world...
but 10 years from now it won't be a big deal...
Be patient and good things will come to good people...
My daughter and I had basically this same conversation years ago... and sure enough, things have come here way....
And it's not always the things you THINK you need, but the good things that SHOULD come to you !!!
For some young people all OVER the world,
they wish they were bored like you - I promise...
right now yo probably don't care about that... you aren't comparing yourself to them, but to what you think the idealized version of your life should be...
I PROMISE the real thing will be better - sometimes it just takes longer than we want to get there...
remember, we're not working on our timetable, but His !
Good luck, and be yourself and kind to others and it WILL work out !
