well PP gave me like 60 bucks off bassani's and about the same off of JBA's and I didn't have to fight with him I just explained what I would like to happen to get this out of the way. I went with the Bassani's just so the brands would be the same and hopefully make it easier for the shop put them together, plus even with the price break JBA's are super expensive. I hope once i get them. I can have these problems solved.
yeah me too. I am tempted to try to install the headers myself and see if they will fit with the y pipe, so i won't have to pay a shop. But my luck they won't fit their y pipe or the stock one and i will have to put the manifolds back on, but I can't because they cracked in half. Well, atlest the y pipe bolts came off without problems and thats half the batle from what i have read. so maybe it won't be to bad to try to install the headers myself.
How difficult is it to install the Y pipe? I was debating buying just headers now or doing headers and Y pipe at once. Do you need to be able to weld to do the Y pipe? Thanks.
The Y pipe goes where the existing factory Y is...between the exhaust manifold exit (or Header collector flange) and the front of the catalytic converter, so if your pipe is welded to your converter now, you would have to cut that and use a u bolt, that is if you dident want to go to the muffler shop and have them weld it back on. I personally prefer welded exhaust. I'm off rod alot and pretty rough on it. I dont want anything coming off!
