I am trying to locate or get a part number for the sun visor assembly, with the integrated clearance lights. This part is standard equipment on the 2001 Super Duty Platinum Edition, as well as the F650 Super CrewZer. Any help would be appreciated.

According to very explicit instructions from ford, one cannot fit the platinum/lariat LE/supercrewzer external visor onto a normal superduty.

Unless you're telling me that the cab is different, which I know it's not, I don't care what Ford says will and will not work. If everyone on this site used only the parts Ford made for their truck, and didn't try to adapt anything, we wouldn't be a very interesting bunch of guys. For that matter, the aftermarket parts suppliers might as well shut down. I just want to try it, at my expense.

 

Oh I agree, I was just saying that ford will not help you in your quest. If you find one post some pics, it's a very good looking visor.

I will check on that tommorrow for ya. And see if it requires a VIN or something. We have sold a couple of Lariat LEs so I'll check that out. I am thinkin of adding clearance lights on mine. I think they look good running just the park lights right before dusk! Especially on a lifted truck, cause they are that much higher!!

 

Ok here's what I found out. Part # is XC3Z-3604118-AAA It lists for $756.85 It is yes a Lariat LE option only. Not sure about ordering. I assume if you have a GOOD parts dept they can get you one. I could if you want one, but I'm in Winfield Ks.

Be sure and let us know if the parts person at your local Ford dealer ordered the visor for you. I'd like to have it on my '99.
