MULE is right man. I traded in a 2002 5.4 Eddie Bauer 4X4 Expedition for my 250. The Expe would sweat towing my 23 foot center console and it got about 6 mpg.
I would compare the boat behind the 250 to a flea on a Rottwiellers a$$.

Yes pull with it every day it gets 6.2 mpg pulling 10k trailer 7.3 15mpg been to all the ford dealerships in my town none can fix it and sense there are no mpg rating on 250 or 350 Iam at fords mercey. they say when they hook up wds it shows 15 mpg I get under 300 miles out of 38 gal tank, while pulling the 7.3 385 miles with air on pulling same trailer same weight and same roads, same amount of air in tires same fuel . nothing makes a difference it just is very disappointing .

There has got to be something wrong.........as if you need me to tell you that.......I, with the same load,
except in an X get 9.9 to 13.4. It can get better at 60mph, I just do not pull at 60.

At this point would love to sell the truck, but could not look someone in the eye and tell them some story on why I am selling because you know they will ask when you are selling brand new truck. not to mention the money Iwould loose.
One of the reasons Ford came out with the 6.0 and got away from the 7.3 was to meet federal standards on emissions, fuel economy, etc. Looks to me like they took a giant step backward with the Oct calibrations. Ford keeps saying they are working on it. They are being very quiet about what specifically they are doing to address the issue. It is long overdue.
If you are having fuel economy issues, contact Ford. I don't want to sound like a lone dissenter with Ford. I don't know who else has been contacting Ford, but my experience with the contacts I have made to date, they act like this is the first time they heard of the fuel economy issues with this truck.

they acted the same way with me when I called, also in previous posts others said the same thing , there playing the GAME. Its going to cost them loyal customers.
That experience with Customer Assistance was highly irritating. Have you contacted Bill Ford's office. I sent a letter. I'll see if I get any kind of response.

Have not contacted bill yet but called corp. office and asked for dsb paperwork and they will not send it out. because I have not lost use of truck just poor fuel mpg 12.8 hwy. empty. moan/ drone, hard to start when warm,no trans brake in 4th or 5th gear. just those little minor problems from 40k truck.
