I am hoping someone can help with this....the engine in my 94 deisel will shut down and then restart...there is no warning and I lose no radio or lights.....i call it a hic-up.......
thanking you in advance for your help
Need to know what kind of truck ya got. Is it the turbo, non-turbo or powerstroke ford diesel? Ford used all of them in 94. If its the powerstroke i'd bet you have a bad cam sensor.
check for a loose connection at your fuel shut-off solenoid on the injector pump, or possibly corrosion.. it should be the connector at the middle, driver's side on your injection pump, if not use a test light at this connection and move your wiring harness around with the key on to see if the wiring is at fault. Also it could be the ignition switch at the lower end of the steering column..But start with the pump and let us know what you find..
the nv 4500 is the same trans used in chevy and dodge 3/4-1 tons, the dodge diesel has a bigger input shaft though. Approx 27% od. mine is the 95 chevy version with the best parts of all the years chevy used them, I worked at a GM dealer to pay for my toys, what can I say?
Thank you for the help with the engine problem....my truck is 1994 Ford turbo....direct injection...if that helps any....thanks again for any answers you might have
