Headers and Plug Wires

Need a little advice here....what to do about headers that give off heat and burning plug wires....Have tried the heat resistant, very expensive wires....but that did not help the problem....The problem is not with my old Ford....but a son's off breed make of truck....lol.....any help is appreciated.....!

what about wrapping the headers with the thermal wraps they make? it usually voids the header warranty, but it would probably help

I've had a problem on a car that toasted the wires. I purchased some heat resistant spark plug boot cover things. They look like they're made of fiberglass and covers up the boots and a portion of the wire. Seems to work okay. I believe they were made by Moroso or Taylor.
