Question HELP!! With wiring the starter

I am trying to wire up the starter. I have headmen headers and i don't know how to run the wires to the battery without buning the wires in half. Could you give me advice on how to run the wires to keep them away from the headersor what to wrap the wires in to keep the heat from the headers off of wires.

Thanks

The best way I can think of is similiar to how the factory routes them on 87-96 efi trucks. They go down from the battery, following the front crossmember, under the pass motor mount. Run parallel to the oil pan rail and then to the starter. You might needs some long cables to make the connection. You can always make some clips that bolt onto the oil pan rail bolts to hold the cables with some zip ties. I had to do a similiar route with my efi exhaust manifolds on my carbed 82 F100.
