Just take a torch and trim the flapper off of the shaft and bolt it back in.

Put headers on it like any sane FE guy would do. But you can also gut the spacer and reuse it in a pinch.

Had a 73 F-100 with that heat riser valve, torched the butterfly off and the truck ran better without it.
