Here is the online chat conversation I had with a Bed Rug representative at their website a couple of weeks ago:

Welcome to LiveChat
Valeria Hunt Customer Service Specialist

Valeria Hunt: 8:16 am Hello Dale. How may I help you?
Dale: 8:17 am When will Bedrug for 2017 F250 short box be available to order?
Valeria Hunt: 8:17 am It will be another couple of weeks before they are ready to ship.
Dale: 8:19 am That's great news! Thank you. When is soonest I can place order? [I have truck scheduled for delivery on Nov 2 and will be driving to AZ from MN for winter and hope to install BRug before we leave.
Valeria Hunt: 8:19 am You can order it now.
Dale: 8:20 am ? How do I do that? I don't see option on Amazon site. Local dealer said not available yet.
Valeria Hunt: 8:20 am Please try autoanything.com or realtruck.com
Dale: 8:20 am Will do. Thanks very much.
Valeria Hunt: 8:21 am You're welcome.
Dale: 8:35 am Hmmm. Neither of these sites is showing availability for the 2017 F250.
Valeria Hunt: 8:35 am What is the bed length on your truck? I can give you the part number.
Dale: 8:37 am Bed length ... don't remember that figure. It's the short bed... 160" wheel base.
Valeria Hunt: 8:37 am The short bed part number is BRQ17SBK
Dale: 8:37 am Thank you...
Valeria Hunt: 8:37 am You're welcome.
Dale: 8:47 am Valeria, just to confirm... the 2017 F250 box size that I have on order is 6 3/4 feet ( 81" ) in length. Is BRQ17SBK the correct part number for that length?
Valeria Hunt: 8:47 am Yes that is the correct part number.
Dale: 8:47 am Once again, thanks very much. You've been a great help.

Does anyone have any experience with this liner with a goose neck hitch installed? Certainly I'd have to make a cut out for the hitch and chain loops, do you think that it will tear? how does material slide on the surface?

I have a Bedrug in my '08, and I cut it out to fit around my 5th wheel hitch rails. It hasn't torn, but the cutouts allow air to get under it while traveling, and that raises the whole back end of it up. I usually just leave a concrete block on the rear section to hold it down. Works fine when not towing my 5th wheel trailer, but the 5th wheel must generate some additional air currents, and then the block won't even hold it down. It ends up rolling the block off the back end with it ending up underneath the Bedrug. I'm sure at least part of the problem is the fact that I have an early Bedrug that was not designed to deal with the tailgate step, so I just fold the tailgate flap up under the rug. I would assume a small hole just to accommodate the goose neck ball would not be as big an issue.

I have owned 3 bedrugs on previous trucks, it will not tear the thing is dang near indestructible. While it feels like thick padded carpet its actually made from the same plastic that kitchen cutting boards are made of. That plastic is tough stuff, plus impervious to oils, fuels, acid, the Bedrug is one of the few products I rate 'bad ***'. I cut holes in all of mine for the bed tie downs, no worries.

Its not slippery, generally stuff does not slide around, but its not so anti-slip that its a pain to move things around either, somewhere in the middle.

I had the same bed mat in the last three long wheel base Fords. It was 30 years old and tough as nails. Just got disposed of after I sold the 2001. I wish I knew what brand it was but it was like tire rubber.

I would like to get one for this 160" truck and havent really shopped them yet. Is Bedrug fairly thick? Would like to cut holes in this one to match Reese Elite fittings access.

The BedRug is pretty thick. It's 3/4" thick foam. I loved it in my last F150, but don't think I will get it since I have the fifth wheel now. I don't want to cut holes in it for the reasons 4dogdoc mentioned, as well as the holes allowing stuff to get under it. You would have to cut out enough for the entire hitch to sit flat on the floor of the truck.

It is a great product and it was nice when using the back of trucks for picnics, sitting watching fireworks, or just hanging out in the back of the truck. I will say, it's a bit$h to get straw out of though!

Thanks Tom. We do haul hay and alfalfa on occasion........ Does it get stuck in the mat or just under and around edges? Had that issue on all of them though. Ah - just watched video - I see what you mean about stuff getting caught. Surface is like carpet pile.

Yeah, the surface is like a marine grade carpet. If you haul hay much, I would definitely stay away from it if you like to keep a clean look (like I do) in the back of your truck. I'm not dissing the liner, just noting a shortcoming.

Agree, its pretty annoying to try to clean hay/straw off a bedrug.
