Without rear........what is your chassis build date.
If it's a 4x2 I can almost understand that it doesn't, but if a 4x4 like mine, it's almost criminal NOT to have a rear bar on the taller (and more prone to sway) 4x4 !!! Poo Poo to Ford if they didn't put one on
Again, if you don't have one, go get one ! You'll be amazed at the difference - really ! I ddn't put mine on the 4x2 ntil about 15K miles and when I did i thought I had a new sports car
IIRC J.C. Whitney had one for my 02 4x2 X for $137 third day shipped to my door...
And be prepared just to go get some hardware and review the install instructions on the web - Hellwig's known for making a GREAT bar, but having horrific instructions and incorrect bolts...
I guess they can get away with it since the improvement is so great and they're almost the only game in town :-)
OK, so you have me convinced that new shocks and Helwig rear sway bar is the next mod for the X. Where is the best place to buy the bar from?
Where did you all buy your shocks and what is better Rancho or Bleistein?
Thanks
Pat
I asked for price of helwig rear anti-sway bar for my X at a local 4x4 shop and they quoted me 169.99 for the rear...... is that a reasonable price? or am I getting jipped?
Riceburner came by my place today, and he did a fine job installing his sway-bar. Alas, he did relay his story of mismatched nuts & bolts. Hellwig makes a good sway-bar, but just how difficult is it for a parts puller to throw the correct mix of nuts & bolts intop a bag. I guess I was lucky in that mine came with all the correct hardware items ... didn't have to make a trip to the local fastener retailer.
