Hey Adam
The Powermaster Alternator that I have installed on my rig is their 200 Amp unit. They do have other units, with lower amperage, that will fit into the Bronco's. Check out their web site at http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/
I did have to change the wiring a little. The stock alternator has two connectors pluged into it, and the powermaster only uses one of the two connectors. But it was all pretty self explanitary. If there is any technical issues with the installation, Powermaster is more than happy to help out with the installation.
The only other wire that I had to purchase was another battery cable to connect between alternator and solinoid that's mounted on the fender.
If you plan on adding a second battery then you would also need the battery isolator that maches the alternator that you get. If you try to order the dual output alternator, instead of getting the isolator, then you would need to change the brackets that hold the alternator.
As far as where to get the powermaster units, check out their web site to find out where there is a local parts store in your area. They might be able to sell it to you directly.
I have had too fix too many of those power master crap.
They cut too many corners too make as much money as they can.
Also, the isolation diods don't have too be matched too the alt. They just have too be able too handle the amps. 200A. alt.=400A. diod.
I surf the Mustang boards a lot and the biggest name on the mustang boards is PA Performance. www.paperformance.com I think. They are in all the mustang magazines, 100% new and lifetime warranty. I saw them on www.fordmuscle.com too with a tech article
