I totally see your point and I would agree 100% on your analysis of each set of separates......you will give on one aspect to gain in another when it comes to more affordable items....
Units from Focal, MBQuart, ADS, CDT's, USD audio, Adires, Diamonds, McIntosh's etc etc can set you back a serious penny....
I would also agree that most recommendations given were for a set budget as you will notice in my prior post....
I just think that pointing fingers and telling others that their recommendations are crap is either immature, naive of others experience with said components or just plain ignorant.
Do make sure you shop arond for the best price once you decide on a unit(s)
as this will ensure you will get the most for your hard earned dollar every time.
hey thanks everyone, sorry if i caused any controversy, i may not know much about car audio, but i do know from disagreeing with others, that audio preference is all relative to what you like it to sound like. so i would say, if some1 trashes the stuff you like or have, its nothing personal, they just don't like it. anyway, i've decided to get the CDT's once i get a little more money, but i don't know exactly what amp i need or want to run them off of. what exactly is clean power and how powerful of an amp should i use for these speakers? thanks again
Well....if you are going with CDTs and you want clean power....you might as well spend a bit extra for a better amplifier....
I run Autotek on most of my vehicles with the exception of the Bronco....
I recommend the Street Machine series Amplifier SX-5750
75 Watts X 4 Channels & 200 Watts X 1 @ 4 Ohms @.02% THD
100 Watts X 4 Channels & 350 Watts X 1 @ 2 Ohms
This way you have all channel built into one amplifier....less space to waste the better.....these amplifiers are clean and have enough power to push the speakers along with a sub.
I own Kicker Resolutions and they sound awesome, but can't say anything else is bad because these are the only Kicker's I have had, they do distort when cranked, but right now I have no amp going to them, just whats coming from the H\U which is 50 watts max, but I reccomend Kicker Res's got them from E-Bay for $100 with shipping!
