I want to pull the stock CD-6 player out of the dash of my 2002 Explorer XLT. Can someone tell me the correct procedure for doing this so I dont break anything please
I'm not an expert, but since no one else has replied, I'll try to help.
If your receiver has two pairs of small holes at the edges, go to Walmart and get a removal tool. You release the mount with the tool and just slide the radio out.
If you don't have the holes, someone else will have to advise you as I don't have an Explorer.
If You don't have the two holes on the radio you will need to remove the counsol cover. Then the radio has two bolts holding it in place. Let me know if your radio has the holes or not and i can further assist you.
