Why didn't Ford make a seperate switch for the cargo light? When you turn on the interior lights, it comes on, but the glare from the rear window prohibits you from seeing the bed. Any ideas/mods?
Man, I wish I could rmember the title of that topic. A month or so back we actually talked about that. The guy (ARGH Who was that!!!??) planned on putting a switch inline for the cargo light. He was also going to power it seperately in case he wanted the light on when the doors were closed.
Try a search. Maybe use "dome light" as the keyword.
It is my belief that the electrical engineers at Ford...suck and don't have a clue to what the end user wants.
Spoken in true Monsta-like fashion, with absolutely no beating around the bush! Just the facts, Man!! Straight up!!! I applaud you, sir!!! I LOVE this place!!!!
Ford used to have a seperate switch for just the cargo light. I blame the accountants. Engineers love to over-build stuff and would probably install a multi-level dimmer switch for the cargo light just so they could say they did it.
Somebody probably noted how it'd save .0003 cents/truck to leave the switch off completely and the "cost control" unit chopped it.
