My cargo light in my truck has burned out. I feel really stupid asking this question, how do you remove the socket from the light housing? I can twist maybe a 1/8" before it stops, it looks like I need to twist it a little more but, it doesn't want to move. Is there something I'm missing?

You shouldn't be missing anything, the socket just turns counter clockwise about 1/8 to 1/4 turn then pulls straight out.. It might have some crud in it, or the socket or housing could be heat damaged (melted a little) but it sounds like you are doing it right....
