Whoa, I'm impressed
Went out there this morning & stuck the key in the ignition expecting a flat battery, idiot ights came on so I pumped the gas 3 or 4 times & tried to start it.
After about 20 seconds of cranking it over the damn thing fired right up & sat there idling perfectly. Thats gonna make it a LOT easier to get on a trailer tonite. Friend of mine bought it to turn the thing into the "Pimp Mobile From Hell"
The mrs thinks theres going to be more room in the driveway.... which there would be.... if I didn't have a '70 Ranchero arriving Saturday morning....
I once had a '66F-100. I bought the truck w/ a blown up 289 in it. Same guy had a '68 Mustang GT w/ a 390 HiPo. The engine hadn't ran in 4 years, but he said it ran good before he parked it (due to the floorboards falling out from rust). He offered me the 390 for an extra 100 bucks.
I said OK, but only if it will start. We threw a cheap set of wal-mart jumper cables on and that old 390 fired up on 4 year old gas within seconds.
I also whooped butt w/ that old GT motor in my '66 pickup. Embarrased more than one Chebby w/ "hopped up" 454s, and even one 396!
