Posi-traction?

I have a 97, f150, 2wd, LWB, Reg Cab, work group package...only options are auto and A/C.....does it have a posi rear end. I never get stuck enough to tell.

Look at the Vehicle Certification Label glued to the driver's door. Under the bar code is the word "AXLE". Directly below will be a two-digit code. If the code consists of two numbers, the truck was equipped with an open (non-posi) differential. If the two-digit code starts with a letter, the truck has a limited-slip (Positraction is a GM-coined term) differential.
