1951 F1 Drop Axle with Posie Spring Question

I was hoping to get someone experience with using a 3" drop axle with Posie's dual flex lowering springs. The original springs are shot and need replacing so it make sense to use the Posie's.. but if there is complications I have no problem using a stock pair and not going as low.
The website says using lowering springs with a drop axle could cause bump steer.
Thanks for the help...

Welcome to the forum!

I don't have experience with that combination but there have been threads on here about clearance problems with either the drop axle or the lowering springs. You have to use tie rod drops and possible more than that.

If you Google the subject, you'll likely turn up past threads. Some past threads:

Thanks for the reply... I have been searching around the forums for more info on the combo but it seems most people don't use the posie springs with the dropped axle. Most remove leaves...
The top link you provided with the lowered picture is great!
Thanks,

It actually doesn't matter what springs or axle you are using, its the drop from spindel horse shoe balljoints to the pitman arm distance vs stock that is the problem regarding bumpsteer. The draglink needs to be as horisontal as possible to prevent bumpsteer.

It is possible to modify tje spindles horse shoe but you need to know how to do it, otherwise it might get dandgerous .
