1960 starter
So Ive decided that my f-100 will be my daily driver cuz my Chevy broke down on me 
I need a new starter for it. My macs catalog sells one for $98 any one know of other companies that sell a starter for a 1960 f-100 with a I-6 223 and a 3 on the tree?

Have you taken it to a local auto electric repair shop to see if it can be rebuilt?? I also owna 96 range rover and needed a new alt. auto parts store had to special oreder it for 450$$ and would be a week, took it to local auto electric shop and had it back in 4 hours with the bill at 38$$.

WOOHOO! I just placed my bid on it. It does not include the starter drive should I purchase a new drive and where can I find one or is my old one useable? How does it come off the shaft?

I just swapped a starter and regulater on my 60. last summmer. The Drive seemed hard at first glance but really was not that bad. I have the Old Starter and Drive And will try and get a digital photo for you if it will help. Let me know
