The 272 degree Energizer will give you more lift and a little more duration, but still have a smooth idle and good bottom end. As far as a dual pattern vs a single pattern, if you compared them both in engines of the same specs, unless you dyno'ed them both, you'd never be able to feel the difference between the two. The difference will not register on the "seat-of-the-pants" meter.
