Question

another power window question

How do I determine inf the window motor is bad or the gears are beginning to strip? The window goes down fine, but when I raise it, it will make a popping sound and you can see the window jerk. Also, when the window is completely up you can hear the mechanism rattling. Flipping the window switch to raise window will snug the mechanism back up against the bottome of the window.

I fixed one in a brand X. One track had came loose, causing the window to bind. Take the door panel off and see what is going on.
