charging trouble
I have 12 volts at the field terminal but , still not charging.

can anyone help me Rod.

If you have 12 volts at the field terminal of the alternator (not just at the regulator Field, the wire could be open), the alternator is bad. If it is an early one, you can get a kit to rebuild it for $13. The brushes are probably open.
