Why did my 1972 ford stop charging? The alternator was rebuilt last year and I replaced the voltage regulator and it still doesn’t charge.
Do you have access to a voltmeter? If so check for 13+volts coming off the regulator with the engine running. You may need to rev the engine a bit to get the voltage up. A good place to take the reading is at the starter solenoid.
If you get low/no voltage from the regulator, check it right at the alternator.
