Installed mine this last weekend. Would have been easier if the truck was not 5 feet high at the hood!
Anyway, I noticed much smoother idle and driveability. I had not seen the comments about the oil leaks, so I will keep a tight eye on it and carry the caps/tools. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully, I will not be one of the "lucky" ones.
If it holds up, I would say it is definately worth the cost. If not, it was a fairly cheap learning experience.
I'm just yanking your chain. I too share similar views as you when it comes to risk / reward and ROI decisions as they apply to our PSD mods or upgrades.
You do your research and base your decision on your personal experieince and research. I respect that. You just don't jump on the band wagon because everyone else is doing it, like the rest of the lemmings.
Are you a Democrat? (just havin fun, please don't start a thread on politics)
Quad I printed it out and followed the instructions on mounting the pyro. Had to work horses today in the barn so I couldn't put the aux. fuse block in. That's what's holding me up on the gauge. It's going were the clock is on the pillar. Never kept good time anyway.
Jschira I read most of the threads you recommended and I will keep an eye on the Mod. Thanks for the input.
Wife said, "You guys would get in trouble if you lived around each other!"
She'd be right. I've hooked up with a few guys that live nearby, (Seattle and Vancouver BC areas) and we wear each other out!! It's the most fun I've had since I was a kid, though.
Vancouver eh? Rode horses at the RCMP college with a fella from Vancouver, BC. PD Plan on going to see him if he get's married. He's got a 96 PSD. I still have to send him that Hypertech Programmer I have. Told him he could have it. OK, now she said that Heat would get us all in trouble! Got to go find out why her spare tire came off her 98 f150 in rush hour traffic. Darn cable just broke! That's why she's looking over my shoulder. Gotta go.
