coolant additive
I went down to the parts store and asked for the coolant additive for a PSD, and he went and got a bottle of gs-100, made by hastings, i think that was the model number. Is that what i need, he said it was anti-cavative suppliment, and prevent rust and corrosion in the coolant system. Is that the additive which prevents the little air bubbles on the cylender walls due to vibrate?

I am not sure what Hastings stuff it. The label sounds right since you are trying to prevent cavitation.
Where did you get it - Hasting is a great name and good company. I would be interested in getting their product.
If you are not sure add it, then get some test strips to make sure you have SCA levels set.

I would not add it unless you KNOW it is Ford compatible. You can buy the right SCA and the correct test strips at www.dieselpage.com
