Hey guys, although I'm typically hanging around the 48-60 forum for my project vehical, I now need a new daily driver. I've found a 94 Bronco for sale, in really decent shape overall, however the current owner believes that the front universals may just be starting to show some wear, giving a bit of vibration. I know the parts are cheap, but how much of a headache is it to replace these? I am fairly mechanically inclined, and have access to a well equipted garage, but I want to know if this is something I can do myself, or if its something I'd wanna have a mechanic take care of. Thanks
don't worry, I plan on getting under it and checking it out when I test drive it this coming saturday. Thanks for the replies. If I do end up buying the bronco, you guys might be seeing me around here more often.
fornt drive shaft u joints are no harder than the rear driveshaft. front axel u joints are not hard just a little time consuming seeing that you must remove the tires and brakes and hubs and rotors. now you have to remove the spindles and then you can get the axel shafts out to replace the u joints. hard no timeconsuming yes.
