Wecome to FTE! Is your truck 2wd or 4x4? Well either way I would give RockAuto Auto Parts a try. Thats where I got the rag joint for my 1977 4x4.

steering shaft
Borgeson makes a replacement shaft that eliminates the rag joint and replaces it with a 2 ujoint style that is supposed to eliminate vibrations and improve steering feel. Mine is still in the box waiting to be installed so I can't tell you how much better it is yet.

You can order them at advanced auto or other parts stores for around 35 bucks . Im a cheap *** so I stole the one off my 67 galaxie parts car. It bolted right up and was almost identical to mine.
