My rotors are warped again(nothing new)and have been turned before. The truck has 70k on it now. My question is should I replace them or turn them again. They are thick enough to turn again, but I was thinking they might not balance correctly, since they would be cut more on the high sides. Also Im going with a ceramic pad, anyone try these yet?
I'd replace them with some nice aftermarket ones myself. I would like ot hear about these ceramic pads too. However, the rotors I am going with come with pads already. (ART)
HEY! Why don't you get 'em, try them out and write up a little report?!
ford rotors suck go with aftermarket. I have heard of Porche using a ceramic rotor but never pads. So let us know what you find. Rember though if you are having rotor problems a different pad may only cause more heat which will create an even bigger problem.
Well I got the new pads and had the front rotors turned, and the damn thing is still vibrating when I brake. I guess i'll do the rears next.. BTW the pads are Raybestos Quiet Stop ceramic pads.. very quiet and work real good so far..
Well it was the rears all along, I had them turned and replaced the rear pads and now its smooth again. I thought the rear pads would out last the fronts, but they both had even wear(front to rear)
