Smile Brakes vibrating

Hello all. I have a question. I have a 2004 F-350 Crew Cab 4X4 dually lariat with a 6.0 PSD and 4.10 gears. My rotors I believe are out or round again. My truck has now 29K miles on it. The rotors were out of round at 12K miles and the damn dealer just turned them instead of replacing them like I asked. I even offered to pay for NEW rotors. I do not believe in turning front rotors or any rotors at all. Well anyway, the rotors are out of round again. Actually been for a while. Who has a good aftermarket rotor, pad, and possibly caliper kit. I do alot of pulling and have the trailers I pull do most of the stopping. I did check for possible caliper hang up, but found nothing. any advice? I had this problem on a '92 T-Bird super coupe and I solved it by changing the rotors out with drilled rotors and upgraded pads.

Yup, the ol' warped rotors trick.

Do a search for slotted rotors and you'll find several posts regarding different rotors. That should give you enough to make decisions with.

Good Luck Pal

I had almost the exact sitution you are in. I ended up getting ART cryogenically treated/slotted rotors and their Performance pads. I've had no problems now for over 30k miles. ART is a site sponsor and I believe you get a price break being a member here.

THanks... Kinda figured I will end up doing something like that! Probably help with the stopping power as well.

Check your trailer brakes. You might be putting a lot of stress on your front brakes which is causing the warping (due to excessive heating).

Talking

I always have my trailer brakes set to grab first and do a bulk of the stopping.. Trust me that is not it.. But thanks for the suggestion!
