I bought an F350 CrewCab Lariat from Chalmers Ford here in Albuquerque last Monday. The next day, (when I could see it in the sun) I noticed buffing swirls and paint scratches on both sides, and the truck sagged 3/4" to 1" down on the drivers side.
The response from the dealer was "Ford's design spec is that 3/4-1" of sag is acceptable". They went on to say that Ford would reluctantly send a replacement spring for the rear and that might level it out some, but they didn't know how much.
I just told them to keep the truck and sell it to someone whose quality expectations matched Ford's.
It's a double bummer since I will miss out on the $2000 rebate on the 02's, but that's life.

Welcome to dealing with “Don Chalmers Ford”. I bought a 2000 PSD from that dealership and have had no service to speak-of. But, poor service is the standard in NM not the exception to the rule. Just wanted to say I share your pain..

They (Chalmers) called me and agreed to take it back as though it never happened!!
Their main concern is that I destroy any surveys Ford sends me and not respond to them.
I'm happy to unload this thing, but I still need a truck.

Lesson learned, never buy a truck or vehicle at night, you cant see all the defects in the dark becouse those shiny lights at the dealer just make any vehicle look soooooo nice and problem free.
