High Idle Switch
Can anybody tell me if there is a good way to to add a high idle switch to an F250 with a V10? The problem is that the alternator while at idle will not keep up with th emergency lighting equipment, and runs the battery down to the point where the engine dies after about an hour.
There is such a factory option for the PSD but I can not find info on the gas versions.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Haven't seen any for gassers! maybe you need a high amp altenator.
or a pulley change to your altenator.
or a dual battery setup.
I thought www.Mechman.com had upgrades for our altenators.
