Question ABS light / sensor cleaning ??

When it rains my ABS light comes on then when it dries up the light will go out. I thought I read here about cleaning the ABS sensor but seeing that the board owner has cut off the ability to search unless you pay him I must ask again.

I've never had to pay and the search function works for me. Did not come up with anything for ABS light within last 3 months. But I have a similar problem. When it rains and the floor mat gets wet from an as yet unidentified leak, my ABS light remains on and the airbag system light does not go through it's self test. The heater fan also continues to run with key off. Also a few other things can occur but not always, ie: CC not working, speedo jumping or inop. Check for a water leak in cab. Mine is coming down the l/h windshield post. Not sure from what point yet. I can get the ABS light, airbag sys self test, and fan to work right by turning key off and cycling heater control switch off and on until passenger airbag light comes on. When I turn key on again those items are working as they should. It's taken some time to get this far.

I don't have a leak inside as I can tell so it must be something getting wet on the underside.

HUH?!? Searches are free. What message comes up when you are trying to search?

Anyway... I'd check your connection to the VSS out back on the diff first. You can remove it and clean it too (wipe it down) but for some reason that doesn't seem like the problem to me...

I can search now but for a few days I would get that due to heavy trafic searching was turned off to all but members, something to that effect then if you clicked a link it gave price info for becoming a member. After I read kmanns post I tried and could?

I will check the vss connection tomorow, the light is not going off this time. It has come on before when it rained then gone off this time it has been on for 2 days after the rain.

Can an OBDII reader, read an ABS fault?

2001 250 V10 2x4 CC is the truck.
