Exhaust/transfer case
Exhaust/transfer case
My first question is about exhaust. I have a 95 F150 with a 300 6cyl. What is a good sounding exhaust for this. Not to loud but good sound and performance? Second there is some play in the spindle at the rear of my transfer case (where driveshaft slides in). Is there a bearing that can be replaced or does the whole thing have to be dropped and redone? Any help greatly appreciated, paulkill@verizon.net
It is normal to have some play in the driveshaft slip yoke. That slip yoke is supposed to slide easily back and forward.
There is an oil seal in the tailshaft section of the transfer case to prevent fluid leakage. If the transfer case is not leaking from this seal, I'd call it good.

Thank you all for your input. It is greatly appreciated and will be put to use. I plan on doing allot of work on my truck in the spring so I may pick your brains in the near future. Thanks again!
