Hi All, Have a 99 F250SD with auto hubs that do not work. Must manualy engage them. Understand there is a vacuum line that does this when in auto mode. Where does it run to and from so i can see if there is a leak. My service station guy says it is done with centrifical force not vacuum. Any help?
Thanks
Tipi
The front hubs lock via vacuum. The lines run from each hub and into the engine compartment. On your '99 you can see the connections close to your battery where you can follow them from there.
Remember that the engine must be running and the ESOF switch engaged to pull vacuum, so you may need a partner to help you.
Good luck.
PS - have you worked the hubs to make sure they're not stuck?
