Vacuum Line Diagram??
It been a few months since I posted...
I searched for Vacuum line Diagram, but did not find anything...
My 1988 Aerostar has a vacuum leak, I think it is coming from the Vacuum line going to the Auto Transmission..
(when engine is cold I lose the transmission for a few seconds then it is fine after that)
The van has a 1991 Ford Ranger 4.0 v6 in it..
I can sort of see the vacuum line, but things are so tight under that hood !!!!
So does anyone have a Vacuum Line Diagram
Thanks
If that is not the issue, there is a 'centeral hub' for the vac lines that have a couple capes that could have blown off. Normally it is located on the right side of the engine. But sense your Aero has a different engine, there is no telling where they could have re-located it. I would suggest crawling underneath with a bright light and see if you can trace where some of them go to locate that hub.
many 4L's have the vac. tree toward the back of the driver side valve cover. part of PCV.
the 88 may/may not have a Fuel Vapor Evac system under the air cleaner that operates off the vac. line system.
also should be a vac. line to cruise control and pwr brake if equiped.
21 year old vac lines must be as brittle as glass.
