Cold Start / when cold weather
When my 1987 /302/fuel Inj. eng . is very cold it will not start. If the Temp is above 20 deg it is fine and runs well. The truck has 2 tanks, I have tried both tanks. Is there a Cold start sensor on the Fuel system. BTW... what is best throttle position when cold starting ?

Engine coolant temp and air temp sensors control cold starts. Best throttle position is to keep your foot off. The computer is supposed to handle the cold starting without any input from the driver. Have you pulled the codes? That would be a good place to start, if you haven't pulled them already.
