E40D Shifts hard

Ive got an 87 Bronco 351 E40D Trans comming out of First It shifts way to hard the whol truck shudders when it shifts this cannot be good for it Im taking the transmition out Tommrow to see if I can tell whats wrong but dose anybody know what the problum could be.

any advise is appreciated.

Well, for one......... a 1987 Bronco did not have an E4OD.

The Bronco II had the A4LD............

The big bronc either had the AOD or C-6

mine was doin that all last week and the trans just let go friday night i think the front pump went
