front windshield

Ok swapping out parts from a donor truck.

Front windshield on my 86 is toast. Have a 1980 FF350 that I am going to start using for donor parts.

How hard is the windshield to take out and replace from another truck ?

Tricky and very easy to break. I tried to pull one a broke it in record time . Geting them out is no problem back in is a pain

I use 2 people. Get some wire (hobby wire-22guage)about 2feet long. Poke it through the seal and wrap it around sticks at both ends. Work it back and forth (this is where the 2nd person comes in at). Same idea as a cheese cutter. When you get all the way around the window, just lift it out. I use this method all the time
hope this helps

I'd just spend the $150 for a brand new one installed. (at least over here in PA where I live). Much easier and safer.

I got some trim removal tools from one of those cheap tool catalogs, harbor freight I think, that included 5 different tools. I used one of them to take the trim off mine to seal a leak and it worked great. The tool had an arrow shaped point that slides under the trim. My shop manual has a diagram showing where the clips are and how to twist the tool to pop the trim off the clips.
