hey guys, im usually over in the offroad forum, but i think this question would be best asked over here. i recently picked up a 1988 ranger that needs some work. it is missing all of the chrome trim around the windshield. i have a donor 1985 ranger and all i wanna do is transfer the trim from the donor to the new truck. any tips and tricks on doing this without damaging it? i figured id ask before i start prying at the stuff. thanks.
Join the club, I need to remove the trim from around the windshield on my 84 ranger. Cant find any way of doing it without destroying it, but Ive got to get it off to reseal the windshield to stop the rain water leak. tried posting it in the ranger forum but the only suggestion was "let a windshield place do it", not for $200 bucks!.....Got to be a way, if I find out, I will post up.
well if the glass is not gonna come with try a very very flat metal and try to slide it althe way around..... or... you could just get a friend to sitin the passenders seat and ya both try to kick the whole window out... < would not advise
