Coolant ?
Coolant ?
I've seen post's concerning the adding of the DCA4 Coolant Addative. Just wondering if theres an antifreeze w/ this already in it & would you still need to add the DCA4 when the levels get low? Thanks
Fhartell, don't use the "Orange" coolant in your PSD. it is not compatible with some of the o-rings and pump parts. Instead there is good news. I have read that recently Ford issued a new TSB on coolant changes in late model PSD's. You can now change your Green coolant to the Gold extended life coolant. Gold NOT Orange. With the Gold coolant no additive is required, good for 100K. If you do this change over do a complete flush with distilled water, I would do it a couple of times, to get all the Green out. I get my MotoCraft Gold coolant online for a little over 9 bucks per gallon. If it were me, rather than be concerned about additive levels I would flush then fill with the Gold coolant.
Regards, and a happy new year.
