In theory you can put to much in. What can happen is that you have so much in the coolant that it will have too thick of a coating on a cylinder wall and cause a hotspot. I can't say that I have ever seen that in a motor out of a road tractor. It could be allot easier to happen in a 6.9, for example, because there isn't near the cylinder wall deflection in one of these motors then say a 3406 Cat. One thng you want to do is pour your additive in the rad on it's own. You want to drain some coolant out and mix it in and pour your coolant back in. I drain mine when ever I need to add it and pour the coolant back in.
