Cooling system additive

I have some fleet guard DCA4 additive. Is it ok to use in our cooling systems?

Why are you wanting to put additive in your coolant? Are your Nitrites OK?

I haven't got it checked yet, just wondering if it needs additive for the nitrates if what I have would be ok to use.

I have been advised to not use SCA in Ford Gold Coolant. But with that said, I found the following info on a search to answer your question.
http://www.fleetguard.com/pdfs/produ..._TB03-05-2.pdf

Like I said, I'd be very careful what you do add to Ford Gold. From what I understand it can jel and clog the oil cooler.

I second that.... Only use the Motorcraft additive.

Thank you for that information. I didn't know any of that. It doesn't sound like its worth the risk, I will be dumping the fleetguard and getting the right stuff soon.
Thanks again, Kevin
