i have an 03 f150 with a 4.6, it has a cold air intake and true dual exhaust 2.5in pipe with no mufflers. would a superchips tuner be a good addition? does the tuner vin code to one truck? also why is the premium fuel max performance tune not good for towing?
Yes, it will work well with it, so long as the oxygen sensors are in place and not throwing a check engine light. None of your changes impacts the programming (O2 and MAF sensors let the computer adjust).
The tuner does not vin lock to a truck, but it will only program one vehicle at a time. To program another, you must restore the first to stock tuning.
An aftermarket MAF will not work with it, we'd need to custom program a chip for that.
